We visited Meeru for the first time this March and were recommended to watch the sunset with our feet dangling over the edge of the Asian Wok... it was a great recommendation... one of the best views of the sunset on the island in our opinion

Mental note to watch the sunset from the Asian Wok next time we go. Kept meaning to but never made it - goodness knows where the time went.
Stopped off for an iced coffee and rum during the day and walked past it early morning when the tide was out which was nice. Really quite and you could walk on the sand well past the end of the restaurant. Had a lovely a la carte meal one night sitting looking out at sea and Teppanyaki which was fun; only seats 6 around this show cooking stand and we were joined by our shipmates from the 3 day cruise. Lovely restaurant in a beautiful setting and excellent service.

The Asian Wok has a bunch of regular dining tables but it also has cushions set by the edges overlooking the water...and even little low slung tables for drinkies when on you're on the cushions. You can spend a lot of time just fish watching, sunset viewing etc. in this mode .![]() |
