How far in advance can I make direct reservations?

Is there a minimum night stay policy at Meeru?

When you select the desired dates of your direct booking, the internet booking engine will show if there is a minimum stay requirement for that specific period.

Can I reserve a specific Villa?

Every effort shall be made to accommodate your request; however, there is no guarantee, and this is subject to availability upon arrival.

Do I need a booking before arriving in the Maldives?

Yes, a confirmed reservation is required in at least ONE property prior to arrival to the Maldives.


Which methods of payment are acceptable?
Meeru accepts cash (Euro, GBP, US$, CHF and SGD), credit (VISA, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro and UnionPay) or debit card. Travellers or personal checks are not accepted. Guests must charge all purchases to their room because payment is not made until checkout at Reception
Can I upgrade from Full board to All Inclusive Plus at the Resort?

Yes, our guest services team is available to assist you with any upgrades. You can enquire with the team.


How far is Meeru from the Airport?

Meeru is a 55-minute speedboat ride from the airport, about 48 km (30 mi). Meeru is located at the easternmost point of North Male’ Atoll.

Will I be met upon arrival and/or departure at Velana International Airport?

Yes, after clearing Customs, exit into the Arrivals Hall, then turn right and walk a few steps to the Crown & Champa Resorts Booth #B9, where an Airport Representative will meet and greet you, then direct you to your ongoing transfer.

What is the check-in and check-out time?

Check-in time is 1400 and checkout time is 1200 noon.


How big is Meeru?

Meeru is about 1200 meters long by 350 meters wide, about 32 hectares (80 acres). You can walk around the island in about 45 minutes.

What is the weather like?
The Maldives enjoys a warm, tropical climate cooled by a refreshing tropical breeze throughout the year. The average air temperature is 30 degrees Celsius (86 Degree Fahrenheit) and hardly changes: The average water temperature is 29 degrees Celsius (84 Degree Fahrenheit).
There can be some infrequent light rain from May to November. Rain lasting more than an hour or two is rare so don’t forget to always use sunscreen.
Does the Resort provide beach towels?

Yes, beach towels are provided in your room at no charge for use at the beach or pool.

Is there a dress code?

Dress as you wish on the island. “No shoes, no news” reflects the very casual atmosphere. In the Bars, Restaurants, and Reception, women are requested to cover up over a bathing suit (top and bottom) and men to at least wear a T-shirt (not sleeveless) and Bermuda style shorts. Women & men visiting a local island should cover their shoulders and thighs and not wear anything transparent. Public nudity is prohibited.

What is the dress code in the Fitness Center?

Gym outfit and gym shoes, not street shoes. Gym shoes are sneakers with “rubber” soles. Sandals, bare feet, and only socks are not permitted. Bathing suits are not permitted.

Does Meeru cater for special dietary requests?

The Chef will try to accommodate your special requests.

Are there medical facilities at Meeru?

There is a Clinic and a resident Doctor available 24 hours a day.

Is there a Library?

There is a Lending Library at the Kakuni Bar and at North Reception, where you can take or donate a book and magazines.

Is TV provided in the rooms?

Color satellite TV is provided and features VOD, IPTV, YouTube, Netflix access and over 70 channels including foreign languages.

What kind of electrical sockets do you have in the rooms?

Meeru’s electricity is 220 Volts, 50 Hz. Electrical outlets accommodate standard UK style 3 flat pin plugs. Adapters may be purchased at the Meeru Gift Shops.

Where is the internet connection at the Resort?

Free wireless connection to the Internet is provided in your guest room, most public areas and at the Cyber Cafe’, for email, web browsing, social networking and telephone calls.

What about mobile phone coverage?

There is good GSM International Roaming service.

Do you have mosquito nets in the room?

No, generally the presence of mosquitos around the island is very low due to regular non-hazardous insecticide fogging. Nevertheless, if you are particularly sensitive to mosquito bites, then we recommend using a mosquito repellent, which can be purchased at the Gift Shop.

Is there a safe in the room?

There is a personal safe provided at no charge in your room. The Resort accepts no responsibility for any valuables not locked in your safe.

Does Meeru offer babysitting services?

A babysitter is available upon request. 24 hours advance notice is requested. There is a charge. Please contact Reception for your assistance.

Are drones allowed in Meeru?

The use of personal drones and other flying devices of a similar nature are not permitted at Meeru in order to ensure the privacy of our guests. We believe our guests are ultimately here to relax in an unobtrusive and serene environment.
