Adam joined in 1999 to Meeru. He is currently responsible for the Rooms Division Department - the heart of resort operation. Adam’s work experience spans various departments including Accounts, Front Office and Housekeeping departments in Meeru. He has been the back-borne of front-of-house operation for many years and is recognized as the“die-heart” for his areas of responsibility. His hard work and perseverance to achieve the mission and vision of Meeru has led him to being the Rooms Division Manager. Adam graduated with a Diploma in Hospitality Management at Maldives National University. In 2017, he completed his Bachelor's degree in International Hospitality Management at Taylor’s University in Malaysia. He did his internships in Hilton Seychelles and Jebel Ali Beach Hotel where he was able to widen his knowledge in Front office, Housekeeping, Accounts and Human Resource departments. This was a great top-up hospitality experience that boosted hospitality career for Adam in many aspects. For many, Adam is one of the few team members who we can trust and really on to day-to-day operations and especially in front of the house. For many team members, Adam is the FO, mentor for many years who are currently in the operation and who have left the team.
Ismail Shifaan was born and raised in the Maldives' Kaafu Atoll Male'. Shifaan commenced his work as an electrical trainee in Meeru in 2011, and the rest, as they say, is history. After only 6 months on the job, he was promoted to electrician due to his positive attitude, passion for his work, and excellent ethics. Shifaan was awarded the CCR sponsorship program in 2012 and graduated from Asia Pacific University in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in electrical and electronics engineering. Later on, Shifaan was offered a post as an electrical engineer in Meeru in 2017 after a successful journey in Malaysia. Perseverance drove him to work harder and climb the achievement ladder, allowing him to become the Assistant Chief Manager in Meeru in 2019. Growth in skills and devotion paved the way for Shifaan to succeed as chief engineer in 2023. A youthful and vibrant manager who feels that the Maldives hospitality sector is overflowing with prospects for anyone prepared to work hard to make them a reality and the feeling that the initial position or employment is merely a springboard for one's career. Never give up, because it takes patience and determination to achieve greatness. Having a positive attitude and working with the awareness that things can become better. Always try to be a better person by celebrating daily triumphs and living with a clear goal that will lead to true success.
Ali embarked on his journey in the hospitality sector in 2007 as a Water Sports Assistant at a resort located at the Southern tip of South Ari Atoll. Fueled by his passion for sports and entertainment, he transitioned to Vilamendhoo Island Resort, a sister resort of Meeru, in 2010. In 2016, Ali earned a Diploma in Hospitality Management from The Maldives National University, underscoring his commitment to professional development. His dedicated and progressive career path led him to Meeru Maldives in 2018, where he initially served as the Sports, Entertainment, and Activities (SEA) Supervisor.
Beginning as a Supervisor in the Sports, Entertainment, and Activities team, Ali's consistent dedication and performance propelled him to higher roles. In 2023, he reached a significant milestone with his appointment as the Sports, Entertainment, and Activities Manager at Meeru Maldives.
Farish joined Meeru Island Resort & Spa in late 2011. He holds a Diploma in Hospitality Management from the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Studies, The Maldives National University. He began his tenure as a Reservations Assistant. He was promoted to the position of Reservations Supervisor in 2013, Assistant Reservations Manager in 2017 and then in 2020, he was further promoted to his current position - Reservations Manager. He is responsible to maximize the hotel occupancy and revenue and is committed to ensuring a smooth reservation experience and enhance guest satisfaction.
Kerenza Rollings was born, raised and educated in Brighton, UK. A vibrant, diverse and cosmopolitan city, which helped shape Kerenza into an outgoing and free spirited individual. She considers herself a global citizen taking onboard the values and culture of all that she has met on her travels and in her expatriate life.
She has worked in retail since the tender age of 13 and her career has seen her working for global brands on the British high street, mega malls of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Bahrain, concessions, pop ups and third party retailers across Europe, the Middle East and now the breathe taking Maldives.
Highly experienced in all aspects of retail management, strategy, operations and people. Starting out as a Saturday girl and working her way to senior operations manager in a career spanning over 35 years, which now brings her to her newest role in hospitality as Group Retail Manager for Meeru and two sister resorts in CCR which she currently in-charge of managing the retail boutiques.
Her love for meeting people supports Kerenza’s drive to deliver the best customer service, store environment and product offer for all those that visit, whilst upholding outstanding operational and people standards. Working as a team is critical to the success of any business and recognizing and rewarding people for outstanding achievements, encouraging growth and empowerment to ensure all around her are successful in exceeding business goals and growth.
Hassan started his working life in 2007 as Restaurant Supervisor in Oman for Americana Company then moved to Cairo in Educational Industry in 2008 as Projects Team Leader for Berlitz Language Centers. Hassan started his first footsteps in hospitality in 2010 with Dusit Thani Lakeview Hotel as Training Coordinator. He has experienced different destinations in hospitality industry and joined Pre-Opening Stage, Renovation Stage and Re-Branding Stage when he moved to Movenpick Yanbu-KSA as an Assistant Learning & Development Manager in 2014 then same role in Dubai for Somewhere Hotel in 2017. In 2019 Hassan joined Babylon Rotana Hotel in Baghdad-Iraq as Learning & Development Manager then accepted new challenge as Cluster Learning & Development Manager for Marriot International looking after Sheraton Hotel & Resort and Renaissance Resort in Sharm El Sheikh. Hassan became one of Meeru family since 2022 as Learning & Development Manager and he is looking after training and development for our staff to ensure non forgettable moments for Meeru guests with outstanding service from our staff. Hassan believes that nothing is impossible by practicing, training and following the standardization of services functions and when ability is there you can reach from zero to hero.
Shiyam joined in 2001. He is responsible for recruitment, payroll, training and development, staff housing, welfare and benefits. Shiyam graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in International Hospitality Management (Hons), Taylor’s University, Malaysia, in 2012. He began his work experience in 1998, in the Maldives, as Housekeeping Office Assistant. Shiyam makes his home in Bandidhoo, Maldives and he speaks basic French and Bahasa Malaysian.
Ahmed started his career in food and beverage 21years ago after completing his Diploma in Hotel Catering and Institutional Operation, affiliated with the University of Birmingham, UK. Ahmed brings more than 21 years of experience in the industry including working for one of the world-famous luxury hotel brands in the Maldives. He boasts in-depth experience in food and beverage throughout his long-standing career, from Restaurant Manager to Food & Beverage Department Manager. He has been a part of some of the Maldive's internationally recognized projects such as the world’s first undersea restaurant, and first undersea villa. Ahmed is very passionate to provide the best service possible and expanding his team’s knowledge and experience by training and coaching.
Suzain joined in 2007. He is responsible for the Front Office Department. He Graduated with a Diploma in Hospitality Management at Maldives National University. Suzain’s work experience spans across various departments including Front Office and Sales & Marketing. He was promoted to Front Office Manager in 2019. His home in Dhiffushi, Maldives and he speaks fluent Dhivehi and English
Hailing from the Philippines, Sherlyn found her way to the Maldives in 2007 and became a valuable member of Meeru Maldives.
Sherlyn holds a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Communications and initially gained experience in the media industry in the Philippines. Transitioning her career, she excelled as the Executive Office Secretary in an insurance company back home. Her proficiency eventually opened doors, leading her to the role of Executive Secretary to the General Manager at Meeru.
With dedication, hard work, and a genuine love for Meeru, Sherlyn's efforts were rewarded as she ascended to the role of Group and Events Manager. A natural people person, her interactions with guests and colleagues are always lively and engaging. Her commitment to providing exceptional service aligns seamlessly with the resort's Mission and Vision.
Meeru Maldives has become Sherlyn's second home, and she expresses deep gratitude for being part of the Meeru family. Embracing optimism, she believes in attracting positivity by focusing on the brighter side of life and being grateful as one steps forward into the sunny side of life
Zaeem joined in 2004. He is responsible for the Sales & Marketing Department. Zaeem graduated with a National Diploma, Institute of Hotel, Catering and Institutional Operations, Maldives in 2016. He began his work experience in 2000, in the Maldives, as Waiter. Zaeem was promoted to Sales & Marketing Manager in 2015. His home is in H.Dh. Nellaidhoo, Maldives and he speaks English and Dhivehi.
Muaz is responsible for the movements of boats in Meeru whether it is a dhoni, speedboat or yacht. He is in charge to ensure all boats are available on time for guests and team members. Hussain joined the Hospitality industry in 2010 and started as one of the boat crews. March 2013, had him promoted to Guest Transport Administrator; then after one year, promoted to Supervisor. A native of Maldives from HA. Ihavandhoo. Muaz is skilled in carpentry including house construction and loves to learn new skills. He is also interested in the driving power of the vessels, be they inboard or outboard engines which are very important in his field of work.
Ahmed joined the Crown & Champa Resorts group of resorts in November 2000. He has completed diploma in Accounting and Business from ACCA, Mercury Institute, Sri Lanka, during his 20 years career in the hospitality industry he has worked his way up. From 2000 until 2019, Ahmed has served in different levels and positions such as Chief Accountant, Assistant Financial Controller and Finance Manager in various resorts here in the Maldives. He also was part of the pre-opening team of one of the CCR’s chain of resorts and now working in Meeru as the Finance Manager. Born and raised here in the beautiful country of the Maldives from Lhaviyani, Hinnavaru.

Hailing from Italy, his culinary journey has traversed diverse international landscapes, including Jamaica, UK, Italy, Caribbean, Ireland, France, USA, and Malaysia, where he has held esteemed positions, including his role as a Corporate Chef. With a Diploma in Culinary and Hotel Activities Specialist, and holding a University degree in marketing and communications, Marco's commitment to excellence extends beyond formal education.
His leadership in kitchen management and food service operations reflects not just his skill, but a genuine dedication to maintaining service excellence standards. Mohamed Eman was born and raised in Noonu Atoll Maalhendhoo Island, Maldives. In 2008, Eman started his career in Meeru as an IT Trainee and as we all say, the rest is history. Proper mindset, love for his work and strong ethics led him to be promoted to Junior Network Administrator after one year of joining Meeru. In 2013, Eman earned a Diploma in Information Technology with certificates related to IT particularly in the hospitality industry. There was no stopping Eman in achieving his goals, thru dedication and hard work he became the System Administrator and not long into the tenure became the Assistant IT Manager. Perseverance led him to strive more and climb the ladder of success which positioned him to be the IT Manager of Meeru in 2022. A young dynamic manager who believes that Maldives hospitality industry is ripe with opportunities for those willing to work diligently towards realizing them. He believes that the first position or job is just a kick start in one’s career. To never be disheartened as it takes time and effort to reach heights of greatness. Having a strong mindset and working with the knowledge that things can improve. Krystle Marie Klimbacher, a globetrotter born in the Philippines and raised in Austria, is a dedicated hospitality professional with a flair for languages. Proficient in German, English, and possessing basic knowledge in Italian, she began her journey in hospitality after completing her Tourism Management in Austria in 2011. With over 12 years of experiences, Krystle has assumed diverse roles, progressing from Restaurant Manager, Duty Manager and to Guest Services Manager at a renowned 5-star hotel.
Before joining Meeru Maldives in 2023, she contributed to the Maldivian hospitality landscape by working in two sister properties since 2019. Her time in the Maldives continues to fuel her inspiration. Eager for fresh challenges and committed to sharing her experiences with her team. Krystle believes in the unstoppable potential of one's dreams. She takes immense joy in ensuring each guest's holiday is genuinely special. From the home of Noonu Atoll Holhudhoo, Maldives, Asad Ali is one of the current Managers of Meeru. Asad became part of the Meeru family in 2002 as Gift Shop salesperson. In 2004, he was promoted to Gift Shop Supervisor and after 2 years he was transferred to Purchasing department, to the role of Purchasing Officer. While working in Meeru, he studied and completed his diploma in Accounts at IAB UK in 2007 and PGD in Supply Chain Management by Cambridge Academy UK in 2022. Hardworking and full of drive to succeed, Asad’s potential was recognized and he was promoted as Purchasing Manager for Veligandu, part of the Crown and Champa Resorts. In 2011, he was transferred to Vilamendhoo and then to Kuredu where he was able to learn more skills that were required to manage the Purchasing department in a more cost-efficient and reliable way. Asad reunited with the Meeru family in 2017 in the position of Purchasing Manager. Putting together a better and improved department he has built a healthier relationship with different Suppliers in and out of the Maldives. Asad believes that balance is always important in life and work and it is wise to know and consider what is relevant and weigh the pros and cons.
Latheef joined in 2001. He is responsible for all nighttime Resort operations between 1100 and 0700. He graduated with a Higher Diploma in Hotel Management, Taylor’s College School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, Malaysia in 2009. Latheef began work in the Maldives in 1989, as Assistant Supervisor, Coffee Shop, Bandos Island Resort. His home is in Male’, Maldives and he speaks basic German.
